Continuous & prime Power
Prime and continuous power mode is when the generator is operating as the primary power supply, supplying power to the use of related facilities and large appliances. In usual cases, the generator can be set to run a certain set of hours per day, of on a 24/7 mode, any sufficient power supply will be support by the mains.
Stand-by power
Operating on standby mode is when the generator is used as a back-up in power supply to cover the mains in cases of power cuts and grid failures. There is usually an automatic transfer switch (ATS) configured with the back-up generators, the switch will automatically turn on and sends a signal to the generators to start its operation during power cuts.
